Day Sailing

We meet on the second and fourth Sundays of every month at 10 AM on the patio of the Burton Chase Park Community Room. (We don't meet on the fourth Sunday of November and December due to the holidays). We have a light brunch and a short meeting. Afterwards, we go sailing for the afternoon returning around 4 PM to 5 PM for a dockside wine and cheese party.

Visitors and guests are welcome. You don't have to be a member to go sailing and you may attend 4 meetings as a guest. All guests sail at the discretion of the skipper who may limit the number of people on his/her boat. There is a minimum age of 21 and regular members have priority over guests when boats are full. We ask that people dress appropriately, wearing layered clothing to cope with variations of temperature and rubber soled non skid shoes for safety on deck. A hat, sun glasses and sun block are highly recommended.

Some lunch and drinks are a very good idea along with some wine and cheese and/or snacks for the after sail dock party.

Unfortunately parking is always a problem in the Marina. The parking lot at Burton Chase Park has meters. Plan on three dollars in quarters for the 10 to 12 meeting and brunch. Parking is strictly enforced so keep track of your time and bring extra change. If the Burton Chase Park parking lot is full you can park in the adjacent County parking lot. The County parking lot fee is five dollars for the whole day. A machine will accept one dollar bills or a five dollar bill.
